Barry Cress provides public relations, digital/social media services to CMG customers. With a focus on results-driven digital media tactics and strategies, Barry has more than twenty years’ public relations and marketing communications experience. With a Masters Degree in Public Communications from Syracuse University, Barry has served in marketing communications and public relations roles for agencies and corporations including Burson Marsteller, Information Builders, and British Telecom.
Barry developed strategic communication plans for IBM, Avis, Anderson Consulting and managed international relations for companies in Europe and Latin America.
Consulting with businesses large and small, Barry successfully guided companies in using social media and web 2.0 technologies to achieve their communications and marketing goals.
Barry’s expertise includes utilizing a variety of methods and techniques to achieve communication goals such as: search engine optimization, social media, multimedia, video, social networking, white papers, web content, blog posts, news releases and technical articles.
Barry is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and is APR certified, the only post-graduate certification in the public relations field.
